Abhyanga (warm oil massage) ~ with 1 or 2 therapists. 60 or 90 minutes.
Snehana is Sanskrit for both oil and love. Ayurvedic oil massage “abhyanga” strongly enhances neurotransmitter production, strongly reduces stress hormones, and beautifully enhances both feeling loved and loving behaviour. This is a full body rejuvenating massage which includes a chakra balancing. Specific products and protocol will be created for your individual needs. The practitioner(s) will use soothing, long strokes which engulf the entire body as the healing scents of aromatherapy and the luxurious warm oil nourish your skin, balance your prana (energy) and calm the mind. As the oils soak into the seven tissue layers of your body, they will help to loosen and facilitate the removal of accumulated doshas (vata, pitta, and kapha) and ama (toxins) from the body. You will leave feeling completely relaxed, nourished and rejuvenated.

Ayurvedic Yoga Massage ~ 60 or 90 minutes
A full body massage, performed in the traditional oriental style; on a cushioned floor. Passive body manipulations allow for deep connective tissue release, while this meditative experience balances your chakras and brings you on a unique journey through Marma Chikitsa (therapies), breathing techniques, aroma and sound therapy-through mantra and tuning forks.
Turiya Therapy ~ 60 or 90 minutes.
Turiya therapy is a body based counselling science of Energy Point Therapy, rooted in the ancient Marma Chikitsa (therapies) of Ayurveda. Based on the innovative work of Jaisri M Lambert, named by Dr. V. Lad and influenced by Polarity Therapy of Dr. Randolph Stone, techniques used induce a deeply relaxing and blissful state of consciousness called ‘Turiya’ ~ the state of awareness that is neither fully conscious nor deep sleep. While in this Turiya state, we are able to witness and/or release impressions in our conscious and subconscious mind, which denotes the transformation of our psycho-emotional causes of disease into spiritual wisdom, while relaxing the body and nervous system. The fingertips with optimal pressure are used to stimulate and balance the points, while integrating, aromatherapy, crystal and sound therapy; to create a therapy that is rejuvenating, powerful and unique to the individual. The marmani of Ayurveda have not only local effects at the point or region of their position, but also may stimulate, pacify or balance aspects of mind and body both near and far away.
Shirodhara~ 75 minutes.
A unique and profound Ayurvedic treatment that especially acts to heal and address the psychological and spiritual aspects of a person. In Sanskrit, ‘shiro’ means head and ‘dhara’ means flow. Shirodhara involves the practitioner pouring a stream of warm, medicated oil over the third eye centre and forehead. It is this steady, rhythmic pouring of oil that induces a deeply relaxing and blissful state of consciousness called ‘Turiya’ ~ the state of awareness that is neither fully conscious nor deep sleep. While in this Turiya state, we are able to witness and/or release impressions in our conscious and subconscious mind.
The brow and third eye centre are associated with the fundamental endocrine glands (pituitary, pineal & hypothalamus), which regulate all hormonal secretions. These hormonal secretions are responsible not only for the autonomic responses which control digestion, breath, elimination, etc., but are also responsible for our moods and emotional states. Shirodhara is meant to establish a state of parasympathetic repose, an ego-less state, during which the innate intelligence of our body is revealed. During the session, I lovingly weave in Marma therapy, mantra, aroma therapy and massage to the head, neck, shoulders, hands and feet. You will emerge feeling so refreshed, as if you have just completed a long, deep and blissful meditation.
Benefits of Shirodhara include:
• Dissolves stress and its ill effects on nervous system
• Gives deep mental relaxation
• Relieves insomnia, fatigue, tension, anxiety, anger, headaches, hypertension, asthma and depression
• Rejuvenates the endocrine system, supporting hormonal balancing
• Invigorates the body and mind and heightens the senses
• Eliminates imbalances of the head, neck, eyes, ears and nose
• Rejuvenates the entire face and softens worry lines
• Disperses negative electrical impulses that accumulate along the scalp and hairline due to stress
• Opens the third eye and increases intuition and activates spiritual awareness
• Stimulates the 6th & 7th chakras which regulate our breathing patterns
• Activates the pituitary, pineal and hypothalamus glands
• Regulates mood and stimulates cognitive memories
• Nourishes the hair and scalp with the warm oil and prevents hair loss and greying of hair
• Increases energy, blood and lymph circulation with soothing massage
Shirodhara Bliss Therapy ~ 120 minutes.
This treatment begins with a chakra balancing, followed by a 75 minute warm herbal oil massage to the entire body, with emphasis on your scalp, face, neck, hands and feet. Next we begin the Shirodhara, the unique and profound Ayurvedic treatment that especially acts to heal and address the psychological and spiritual aspects of a person. The full description of this treatment is above. The Shirodhara bliss therapy will take you to states of relaxation you may have never previously encountered. It is life changing to say the least.
Karna Poorna ~ 45 minutes.
Karna purna is the process in which warm, medicated oil is gently and slowly poured into the ear(s) (karna). This lubricates the delicate filaments of the ear canal which is great for calming vata after travel, relieves headaches, it sharpens hearing, calms the mind and removes impurities. The treatment begins with an ear and head massage or can be added on to other massages. The ear is gently filled with warm medicated oil and then drained out while specific marma points are balanced, to leave you feeling grounded and vibrant.
External Therapeutic Basti ~ 75 minutes.
In this Ayurvedic treatment, a dam made of whole wheat flour (or chickpea if gluten sensitive) is placed on the area specified and specialized warm oil or organic ghee is gently poured into it. Specific Marmani are energized and balanced as the warm oil soothes and nourishes the area covered.
This procedure involves the retention of warm thick medicated oil over the lower back (kati) or other part of the spine, which can alleviate numbness due to Sciatic nerve compression and most all types of low back pain. Where ever the oils are retained, the muscles, skin and nerves in the region will become nourished, relaxed and rejuvenated. Aroma therapy used as indicated to enhance healing and relaxation.
Basti can be used therapeutically to strengthen and purify many other parts of the body as well such as in netra (eye) basti; where organic home made by me ghee is used, hrid (heart) basti, yakrut (liver) basti, pleeha (spleen) basti, vasti (uterus) basti.
